I often times see some videos on my YouTube homepage about notion. Tips on how to use notion, notion for productivity, etc. But all that videos kind of has the same content, until I see this video. One of his tips for notion is that I am actually able to bookmark a website page into notion easily by installing this chrome extension. Of course, we did already have a bookmark feature by default from chrome or edge (I use edge), but I want to give it a shot.

The way we use the extension is pretty simple;

  • install the extension
  • go to the webpage that you want to bookmark
  • click the notion web clipper item, then save the page (it will create a new page called My Links within your notion if you don’t have one)

The saved link within My Links page will be in the form of a database table. When you try to click/open on the item, the content of the website will appear as the description of the item🤯 This made me shocked as I did not think that the content of the bookmarked website will appear within notion.

As far as I use this feature, the content of the website like blog post will appear normally, but not with a site like a dashboard page/stackoverflow, the content that appears within notion is only the question.
